1. There are 3 girls in the movie (I think) the Warden, Kissin’ Kate, and Madame Zeroni. They are all very powerful. Would the story and the movie be different if Camp Green Lake was a center for girls?

2. What is the purpose of the boys calling each other nicknames? Do you think it makes others look up to them based on their nickname?

MOVIE : 9:37 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_N6nuddaiY)

Gives a great description of everything that one might need to know in a summary. Also has insight of the deeper message. Like how you categorized everything.

I like the way you made diversity very important in this book. I still don't see a thesis statement, but that could easily be brought together with all of your starting paragraphs. Is the major theme of the story belonging or diversity? I think you wrote this very well and reading this makes me want to read the book!

In the conclusion, it seems like you are getting around to the argument and a possible thesis about negotiating Asian-American identity.

Consider using “Asian American” throughout.

What is the most significant thing about negotiating Asian-American identity for Lydia? How is that related to race and ethnicity? Is it that she is trying to be TWO things perfectly (rather than being uniquely herself)? Is this a commentary on unacknowledged racism that Asian-Americans face?
